The product is oil-sealed, with the same principle of sealed power transformers. The elements of amorphous alloy are iron, nickel, cobalt, boron and carbon. The material is isotropic and soft magnetic with low magnetization power. The structural defect that hinders the moving of domain walls with extremely thin thickness of merely 0.027 mm, merely small filled coefficient of 0.75 to 0.8, 3 to 6 times higher resistivity compared with silicon steel sheets, and 5 times hardness. Amorphous alloy is sensitive to stress.
The load loss of SBH15 series products drops 15% according to GB/T6451 standard whereas the no-load loss drops 75% to 80% according to GB/T standard. The products implement the JB/T10318-2002“Specification and technical requirements for oil-immersed amorphous alloy core distribution transformers”.
Amorphous alloy is a new type of energy-saving material. 80% of typical amorphous alloy is iron. Other ingredients are boron and silicon. Amorphous alloy is manufactured by rapid quench solidification. Its physical state is that metal atoms are in random amorphous arrangement. Its structure, which is different from silicon steel, can be better magnetized and demagnetized. Thus the no-load loss substantially declines. If used in oil-immersed transformers, the carbon monoxide, Sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxides emission can be reduced, so it is called “green material” of the 20th century.
